Before the inspection, the crankshaft must be scrubbed and placed on the V-shaped frame of the inspection platform, or it can be placed on the lathe with the ejector pin against the center hole at both ends of the crankshaft, and then tested with a dial indicator.
During the inspection, the dial indicator is aligned with one or two main journals in the middle of the crankshaft at the measuring point. After slowly turning the crankshaft by hand for one revolution by hand, the oscillating displacement indicated on the dial indicator is the crank deflection.
However, it must be pointed out that the results of such measurements may also be very large because it also involves supporting the out-of-round condition of the two main journals on the “V” and the main journal in the middle. Look at the crankshaft. Whether the bending deflection has an influence; if it has an effect; but also according to the situation and then adjust the bending deflection of the crankshaft. The out-of-round condition of the middle spindle can be measured with an outer diameter dial indicator or a crank table. Incidentally, the degree of curvature of the shaft refers to the ratio of the distance from the center of the center line of the shaft to the measured shaft length. In repair production, for a specific part, because the length of the part has been determined, it usually refers to the degree of offset between the two. At the same time, taking into account the convenience in the middle of the work, in actual use, the bending degree is more often expressed by the bending deflection.
